Playback never modifies your files. Rename, copy, move, Finder tags, and comments happen only as confirmed actions you trigger in the Export workspace.
Nothing is collected, so nothing is sold, shared, or transmitted to third parties. There are no ad networks and no trackers.
Where your data lives
Everything is a plain file on your disk. You can read it, back it up, or delete it yourself.
~/Library/Application Support/VidViewer/Collections/ …/VidViewer/Backups/ macOS UserDefaults Collections are JSON. Backups are written next to them automatically. Settings are included in every backup.
That is the whole policy. If it ever changes, this page changes with it.
